imagine a world cup without an India-Pakistan match. Imagine a world cup without India or Pakistan.

Since thats what we're looking at, and given that one-win wonders like Bangladesh and Ireland arent going to make Aus-Ban worth watching, how about someone get in touch with the India and Pakistan cricket boards and get them to have a series between India and Pakistan in April.

It would certainly be more entertaining than watch South Africa demolish the Irish. And hell, I wouldnt even mind a 5-0 Pakistani victory. Better than watching Bangladesh take on Australia anyway.

Whoever drew up the tables was on crack. South Africa, Australia, Netherlands, and Scotland??? And I m no fan of one time flukers going through. The Irish are going to get mauled

I've just recently gotten back into cricket, born and raised in pak, but having spent the last 20 yrs in the US. Hopefully that gives me a more detached perspective. But I am truly amazed. Pak had some true talent, and were capabale of fire, but they were not confident. And that's everyone, including woolmer, inzy, and the Doc must have been shitting, I'm sure. He deserves it. I saw him at the oval, playing the "save face" role. Sheryaar khan seemed very competant, and this Naseem guy was just worried about how it looked on the outside. Karma is real.

I really like Inzy, but he should just let younis have a shot..i dont see any other captains. The doc should be sent on a flight somewhere else, and Woolmer tried, but with fundamentalist, bearded pakistanis at the helm, who truly beleive that Allah is interested in their cricket, and they just need to grow beards, I can't blame him...he's just a scapegoat.

But i truly do hope that they get it together. I am excited by the prospect of Bangladesh, and I really hpe both India and Banladesh make it to the super 8s. (my wife is Indian :)

Indian fan. Both of us can't be depressed now, can we?! :) India will make the final 8.

And btw, it IS a really good thing for cricket than Bangladesh and Ireland are beating us. Don't you want hard fought competitive series? Or do you just want 8 countires playign each other for the rest of our lives. ,

India just lost 1 game to a better side on that day. It's just a game....

Lets support Bangladesh and give credit where credit is due. Bangladesh were much better than India on that given day and they won the game fair and square.

India will definately make the super 8's and the quality of cricket that the minnows are bringing sporadically to the table is exciting!

Please don't blame the cricket team; after all the team of 11 players is a representative sample of the country's population.

A country where there is no regard for authority, no respect for the law, no respect for women or minorities. Where corruption is rampant, where the men are asked to grow beards so that they appear to be pious. People are hell bent on becoming religious; but they all forget the basic simple necessity, be a good person (a fanatically religious person may not necessarily be a good person). Lets respect each other and cultivate some civic sense in the people, perhaps that may in time permeate down to future cricket teams.

although an indian to the core, i would miss the pakis from the Super 8 as well.. but then can we blame them, .. after all you were on a 40 days chilla which just got converted into a 3 days ones.

Sorry but Pakistan are the world cheats of the game of Cricket. If they never played again they would not be missed.
