This man deserved the bat on his face!!He was shouting at Afridi!(we donno what he said, seems something like football world cup with Zidane )!!How can they do such things, and Afridi just swang the bat, the bat didn't even touch the man and Afridi is banned for this for Four ODI!!! Maham
Thank you for your comment, but that is ridiculous.
Whether or not he hit the man is not the point.
Whether or not he was justified in swinging the bat is also not point.
As a player, there are rules and regulations one must live by. Afridi swung his bat at a spectator, and that spectator took evasive action. If he hadn't he would have certainly been hit. Hitting someone or physical harm, firstly never solves anything, but secondly, as a professional player, he needs to act professionally and within the realm of civil behaviour.
Finally, he is representing his country abroad. What sort of image do us Pakistani's want to present if we're proud of bat wielding clowns who swing like fools at any altercation? The Pakistani fans cursing Gibbs out were bad enough. Why are we supporting the neaderthalic actions of Afridi?
Afridi deserved the ban and Pakistani fans should be embarassed by his actions.
Thanks for posting this! I was away the last while, and missed a lot of drama. The video is really sickening, especially for a guy who should be on edge, like Afridi. Poor performances, previously being tagged as a cheater (England series) and now this. The guy has issues.
